A Mega Outreach program comprising of the State-of-the-Art Medical Mission, Barangay Assistance Program and Outreach was organized by “Pag-Ulikid: A Social Development Program of the First Lady” on November 4, 2022 at the Barangay Covered Gym of Barangay Mansaya Lapuz.


The doors were opened to the participants of the medical mission at 6:00AM.
Given the low rate of admissions to medical diagnostics, Pag-Ulikid was inspired and brought along with them their team of medical professionals comprising of Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists and Radiologic Technicians. A state of the art, IoT-based (Internet-of-Things) Laboratory Diagnostics such as Electrocardiogram (ECG), Ultrasound, Urinalysis, Complete Blood Count (CBC), Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) Blood Test and X-Ray were made available to the recipients.


The residents of Mansaya Lapuz can complete the laboratories within a two-hour window. After the complete diagnostics, the Medical Doctors gave prescription based on the results of the tests. A mini pharmacy was also set-up where the residents can get for free their one-month supply of necessary medicines. Some of the adult medicines were Metformin (high sugar), amlodipine (high blood), and multivitamins. Children medicines such as cough and fever syrups and supplements were also present.


At 3:00pm, the First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos arrived with her guests to personally officiate the Barangay Assistance Program for the school children, senior citizens and persons with disability (PWDs) and the rest of the residents. Honorable Erico S. Hortillosa gave a welcome address followed by the entertainment numbers of Ms. Ryxinne Yap and Ms. Ferlyn Mae Arda in a song and dance presentation respectively.

In response, the First Lady gave her short message acknowledging the warm welcome and hospitality of the people in the barangay. The recipients were then arranged by lines in order to facilitate the orderly flow of the gift giving. There were lines for the school children which they availed school bags and school supplies. The lines for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) were then called. These recipients received branded products and grocery items. Lastly, the regular citizens were then lined up for their grocery packs.
